The Hastings Vol. Fire Co. No. 1 was awarded at the 2009 State Firemen' Convention the 2nd Place in Division C Robert E. Little Fire Safety Education Award. The Prize consisted of a Plaque, $600 Prize Money from VFIS and $800 form The State Firemen's Association
